Mommy Truths

I love these ecards on Pinterest.  This is so true.  Just yesterday Charlotte screamed and cried and threw herself on the top of the toilet lid, (good thing it was closed) just because she wanted to get in with me.

Except I don't even have the luxury of closing the door for some peace, the genius that installed the bathroom door put the door catch on backwards, so the door won't close properly.

Yay me...

I told Eric I was going to pay his office-mate to say "Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric..." over and over and over all day long. And even when Eric replies, just keep saying it. Then he'll say, "Ummmm. Ummmm. Ummmm. Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric..." You get the idea.

Truth is, though, I don't think Eric gets the idea. There are just some things people don't understand until they live it day in and day out.

Get a new door latch. Top of the to-do list! Pronto!

Ha! I feel the same way, even when Theo is home the kids don't bother him. I will be upstairs in the shower and they will come up just to tell me they want something to drink, even though Theo is on the couch right by the kitchen. Seriously!? Getting the door fixed is on Theo's honey-do list, but I may have to initiate nagging if it doesn't get fixed soon.
