Ladies' Night Out

So I have been one busy woman getting ready for our trip next week. I don't have a picture bacause, well read on and you will understand. This was today's schedule:
6:45 am Woke up
8:00am Left house
8:15 Drop Tobie at school
8:25 Get to work
12:00 Leave work
12:15 Pick up Tobie from school, leave directly from there to Santa Rosa, 45 minutes away to pick up a portable DVD player for our trip.
2:00 Get home, girls go down for naps. I do laundry and then have to vacuum because Tobie decided to dump an entire bag of goldfish on my couch. (which he was laying on when I found him, when I asked him what he thought he was doing he responded, "I'm tired.") Do dishes.
4:30 Wake Miriam
4:45 Go to Weight Watchers. Down -.8 lbs. Oh well, better luck next time.
5:00 On my way to pick up babysitter
5:30 Stop by Safeway. Left kids and dog in car with babysitter. Tobie had to pee, babysitter opens the side door for him to pee and the dog jumps out and runs into the store. Babysitter runs after dog, putting Tobie in charge of babies in car. Friday bites babysitter, but she still manages to get her back in the car, and Tobie pees happily in the parking lot of Safeway.
6:00 Give kids a bath and set them up for dinner.
6:30 Leave for my Ladies' Night Out
6:45 Arrive at Ladies' Night Out and realized I forgot my camera that I had placed in my diaper bag because I left my bag at home.
9:45 Left for home
10:00 Babysitter goes home, almost all kids in bed. Except me and this is when I call it a night.
11:00 In bed.
I don't know if I will get any new posts in before my trip, but when I get back I hope to have lots of fabulous pictures!

Spring is Here!

Were you expecting a picture of a flower? I can always tell when warm weather is coming because my cat, and now my dog, lovingly let me know by leaving their winter coats all over my house. This is the result of only 20 minutes brushing my cat! Pretty disgusting, but let me tell you she is one happy kitty now!

Dragon Face

I went to a Baby Expo over the weekend and they had a balloon clown and another clown painting faces. Tobie first wanted to be painted like a dinosaur, but the lady didn't have a book on how to paint a face like that. When she mentioned a dragon, Tobie immediately agreed. He was really disappointed when I told him we had to wash his face during his bath that night. I know he would have thought he was the coolest thing at church if he showed up with a dragon on his face!

Miss Miriam

Miriam has been having a hard week. Her canines have been coming in. She was eating her goldfish on the way home from work and kept saying, "Ow, ow, ow". She took a good long nap today, but not before getting in some play time with her doggy.

Friday

This is our dog, Friday. She sure is sweet and a good guard dog, but has not yet mastered her bladder. If we don't get her out immediately when she needs to go, she goes anyway. She was our motivation to buy a carpet cleaner! (Not the three kids mind you.) She runs and jumps like a deer, it's pretty amazing to see actually. Miriam is very helpful in calling her inside. Her Friday sounds more like "Fri-eh" and her attempts at the tongue clicking are adorable, and it gets the job done. We got Friday from some friends at our church back in October 2006 and she has just blended right into our family. Having her around gives me a real peace of mind, especially when Theo is called out. We look forward to many years with her, and hopefully by then she will have her bladder in control!

Sweet cheeks

Emma is such a sweet little surprise. It's amazing to think this time last year I was just discovering that I was 4 months pregnant with her! This little one is so easy going and only cries when she is wet, hungry or tired. If all those points are covered we have the happy baby seen in the picture all day long. Pretty much both my other kids were really mellow and laid back up until about 18 months, that's when the energy kicks in. I look at this time in their lives as just the batteries charging!

My inexperience shows through, I just figured out how to upload the bigger pictures. I would have just left it the way it was, but the expressions on her face are priceless!!!

What are you shoving in my mouth?

Here it comes again!

Boy, that was nasty!

WHAT!?! There's more?!

I guess that wasn't too bad.

I sure am glad that's over!

Emma's First Bite

Emma took her first bites of cereal a month ago and I had a co-worker take some pictures. I had to scan them in so that is why they are so small. Hopefully you can get the jeist of her facial expressions.

Family Portrait

What a wonderful way to keep in touch with family and friends! It will be interesting to see how well I keep up with blogging considering that I struggle with my journal writing on paper. Since this will be my connection with friends and family far away hopefully that will be my motivation. So "Good Luck!" to me and I hope you all enjoy!!!
