Memories Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together or any of the iverson family! It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Temple of Doom Cake

So here is the very anticipated Temple of Doom cake. There are the three magic stones in the eye sockets and nose cavity. There are skulls on those two sticks on either side of the trap door that says "Happy Birthday Tobie". I kept going back and forth on whether to use fondant on the huge skull on top, but Rochelle told me that she actually likes fondant so I did it just for her. But it must be a genetic taste because her second son Gavin just ate all the skulls and then started picking the fondant off the big skull as well. He didn't even want a piece of cake, just as long as he got that fondant he was happy. I'm so glad they were able to come and I could do this for them!

SF Zoo

One of the places I decided to take my sister and her kids was the San Francisco Zoo. It was a nice day, a little too cold and when we were looking around most of the animals had gone inside. Then when we got back out to the car it was a pretty horrible experience, you'll see why!

We did get to see the baby tiger cubs. The mother tiger was grooming them and then she started to wrestle with them. It was really cute. Probably the highlight of the whole zoo.
This hippo was right beside the tiger exhibits and the kids were more interested in climbing it than looking at the actually animals. There seemed to be a lot of renovations going on, I think that black tarp behind us was supposed to be the hippo exhibit, but as you can see it was all closed down.
This is what we found when we got back to the car. Someone had broken into my sisters passenger side window and stole her GPS system and her dual DVD players. I really can't understand how someone got away with this in the middle of the day and this parking lot was packed! They must have played it off like they left the keys in the car, there is just no other way I can imagine them being able to break in without any witnesses.

Nine Years

Theo and I just celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary! I have been so blessed to have found this wonderful companion. As time goes on, the sweeter our marriage is and I fall deeper and deeper in love with this man. I know that the picture is really crummy because we are not in the light, but I just loved the background. Theo took me to The Melting Pot and we had a wonderful dinner. Then we went to the scenic cliff to get a good look at the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a hard hike that I am still hurting from, but it is just so amazingly beautiful you can't complain. Thanks to my Mom and sister Rochelle who had just driven here the day before from Alabama and I imposed on them to watch the kids so we could have our little celebration.

My 6 year old!

Tobie turned 6 today!!! He has been counting down the days I think since Kindergarten began. He said he wanted an Indiana Jones cake. I made him this small family size one with Indie's whip on it, then when my family come in to town next week, I am going to attempt a much bigger cake of the Temple of Doom. We will see how that works out.

Here the birthday boy blowing out his candles.
He got a new Lego's Indiana Jones Wii game, two different Wii controllers and Mimi and Pawpaw sent him a money bank that he can stash his $20 in that his Grandma from Georgia sent him. I wanted to include the picture of him holding this controller because I thought it was so cute that he asked for another controller so I can play Mario Kart with him and Daddy. So in a sense this is a present for him to me. It was a sweet thought, and I can't wait to beat them both at Mario Kart! Happy Birthday my sweet little man!

4th of July

Ever since we moved here we have participated in the 4th of July Parade held in downtown Novato. They pull one of the Coast Guard boats behind a semi-truck and we get to ride on the boat waving at people. This is the second time I have been on the boat pregnant. Ironically I forgot to take an actual picture of the boat. Sorry. And this is going to be the last year that we get to ride in the parade since next year is our transfer year. It's been a fun ride.

Daddy in uniform.
This was the only sitting area on the deck, I eventually went into the pit with a lot of the younger kids, so I didn't get to wave as much this year.
Here's Tobie up in the front with some of his friends. He always loved this parade.
Emma and Miriam in the pit. They are actually watching this helicopter coming up behind us.
This part is always really cool. They have this helicopter fly over like 4 times, and they get really low so you can see them wave out the windows.
These poor guys volunteered to wear the hazmat uniforms and walk the whole distance of the parade. They are drenched in sweat by the end of the parade. Needless to say, Theo never volunteered to do this.
Captain Miriam!
Me and my prego belly. I am 33 weeks now! Our boat was the first in the parade so we got to walk around and enjoy the rest of it. They had awesome Kettle Popcorn that the guy gave us this huge $10 bag for $5 because Theo was in uniform. They are so awesome. That stuff was goooooood!

Pretty in Pigtails

I just thought Miriam was too cute not to take a picture of her a few Sundays ago with her adorable pigtails. She just turned 3 and I have just recently been able to enjoy one of the perks of having a girl, and that is fixing her hair. She is such a pretty little girl! Tobie wanted to be in the picture to, he is such a camera hog!! =) I guess I will have to wait until Emma is 3 before I have that luxury to do her hair also. Oh well, at least I have one that I can enjoy now.
